Ever wonder how ceramic objects are made or wanted to try your hands in clay?
Pottery is an ancient art form which is enjoying a surge in popularity. Whether it’s throwing pots on a wheel or using hand-building techniques, working with clay offers a wealth of different processes that give you the opportunity to create unique, tangible and functional art works.
CrackPots Studio in Pleasant Prairie is a working pottery studio which also offers classes in wheel and hand-building techniques. Owner, Julie Schilf, along with the help of some local potters, will be demonstrating many of these techniques and offering the public the opportunity to “get its hands in clay” in an all-day workshop at the Pleasant Prairie Mini Makers Faire on November 26.
